This is better than a telenovela.

Mrs. Judy Amante — wife of Agusan del Norte 2nd District Rep. Erlpe John Amante — has filed concubinage charges against the lawmaker and his alleged mistress.

“Mrs. Amante, accompanied by her lawyer, also filed charges against her husband, for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act, before the prosecutor’s office in Cabadbaran City, saying she could no longer bear the insults and the pain they have caused her and her children,” reports Rodge Cultura on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Mrs. Amante pointed out that “what used to be a private family matter has reached the public after her husband openly encouraged his alleged mistress, Katrina Mortola, to run for mayor of Cabadbaran City.”

Mrs. Amante, by the way, is also running for city mayor in next year’s elections. Nevertheless, insisted that politics is not the reason why she filed charges against the two.

Amante, for his part, refused to be interviewed as he is still waiting for a copy of raps filed by his wife.
