The results are out, and let’s rejoice!
In an interview with CNN Philippines today, DOH spokesman Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy said that strict protocols are in place for travelers coming from South Korea and the Middle East where cases of the virus were recorded.
Coconuts Manila spoke with Manila Doctors Hospital again to confirm the news but they’re being careful in saying anything because “the DOH hasn’t gotten in touch with us yet,” their representative said. The official statement they’re crafting and will be releasing before noon on Tuesday is to say the three Korean nationals were NOT confirmed in the hospital. “They were just observed in the isolation room, outside of our emergency room.”
On Monday, the three were quarantined after they displayed possible symptoms of MERS. They were quickly brought to the Research Institute of Topical Medicine in Alabang where they were tested.
Early Tuesday, people were on the edge of their seats waiting for the results. And finally we have them, straight off the horse’s mouth so to speak, so yas! A happy Tuesday to us all!
