Gary Ignacio, the former vocalist of ’90s rock band Alamid, passed away on Friday. He was 49 years old.

The announcement was made by photographer Benjie Cruz on Facebook, saying Ignacio died at 2:50 p.m. at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute due to multiple organ failure.

The band’s hit single “Your Love” propelled them to popularity in the early 1990s. The tune was named Song of the Year at the NU107 Rock Awards in 1995, the first one ever to be named Song of the Year in the history of the Rock Awards.

Aside from Ignacio, Alamid was composed of Dexter Facelo on guitars, Gene Mitra on keyboards, Thalie Facelo on bass, and Jex Herradura on drums.
