Well, something really doesn’t add up.
“Bruce Antao, a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) investigative team probing the Mamasapano incident, maintained that 64 bodies were recovered from the site of a clash between Moro rebels and police commandos in Mamasapano, Maguindanao province last Sunday, January 25,” reports Nash Maulana in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Antao said his count includes guides, informants, and militiamen who were allegedly with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Action Force (SAF). He added that “most of the bodies he had counted were in full or half fatigue uniforms, and for lack of more accurate information they were all labeled slain PNP-SAF policemen.”
The report noted: “The PNP said only 44 SAF commandos were killed in the 11-hour gun battle in Tukanalipao village, Mamasapano town, Maguindanao.”
