That’s it, internet. We’re done for today.

The man who took on the Roman army as a Gladiator and entranced the world with his Beautiful Mind, has fallen for one of Thailand’s most reviled-celebrated animals, the monitor lizard.

“My new buddy,” the actor Russell Crowe declared in a Wednesday afternoon tweet.

Labeled “Lost in Bangkok #3,” it came days after the Kiwi actor gave some love to another much-maligned Bangkok trait that we’re also kind of proud of: our chaotic bundles of overhead wiring.

Although he did not indicate where it was shot, it’s probably a safe assumption he was traipsing through Lumphini Park, which is teeming with giant hia.

Asked by another Twitterer whether he remembered “his name in Thai?”

An ebullient Crowe replied: “I do Hahahahahaha.”
