Thai quarantine halved to 7 days

The mandatory quarantine period for travelers to Thailand was cut in half today.

Among a litany of adjustments made today to its national response, the COVID-19 task force approved reducing quarantine to seven days instead of 14 for travelers with proof of full vaccination.

Those not fully vaccinated or without a recognized certificate will still have to quarantine 10 days if arrived by air or sea, or 14 days if by land.

The new regulation is effective Friday.

The task force also gave a green light to reopening several businesses in 29 hard-hit provinces including Bangkok.
