Golden Village is letting moviegoers play director when it begins screenings of its first interactive film next week.

The 2016 crime thriller Late Shift will hit theatres at Funan, Plaza Singapura, and Suntec City from April 22, allowing viewers to influence the storyline by interacting with it through the mobile app CltrMovie. The movie will eventually arrive at one of seven possible endings.

“Late Shift, where the audience can play director and leading actor all at once, is another example of a new experience for our customers,” the cinema said in today’s announcement.

The movie follows college student Matthew Thompson, who was caught in the middle of an armed robbery. Directed by Swiss film director Tobias Weber, the film was also screened at The New York Film Festival and Raindance Film Festival.

Tickets to Late Shift costs S$13 on weekdays and S$15 on weekends.
