Shop for affordable furniture and home decor pieces at this new online-to-offline store

From online to offline, multi-label store HipVan has recently moved in to a massive space on the second level of The Cathay. Joining fellow online retailer Naiise in the quiet shopping mall, it takes up 10,000 sq ft to display furniture, kitchenware and home decor pieces.

For more than three years, HipVan has been running online — minus a couple pop-up stores at Millenia Walk and Suntec City — so this permanent brick-and-mortar flagship is a new venture for the brand. It’s especially ideal for those who prefer to touch and feel their home furnishings before committing to a purchase.

At the store, you’ll find more than 1,000 of its bestselling products, from dining tables and sofas to beds and mirrors to kitchen towels and tableware. Everything’s pretty affordable, too. You can think of it as a mini IKEA store in terms of price and variety — except it’ll actually send experts to assemble your furniture for you (think of how much time you’ll save not feeling frustrated or arguing over which part goes where in the construction process).

For a fuss-free experience, download the HipVan app and save items to your cart so you can check out using the computers at the store’s entrance, arrange for your purchases to be delivered, and walk out without lugging bags of heavy stuff.

HipVan is at #02-06/07/08 The Cathay.
