Long known for being a shore-side haven to dance the night (and morning) away to pulsing techno and house beats, the Bandwagon Riverboat series is now sailing into different waters: the realm of emo and indie rock.
In collaboration with two beloved DJ collectives, the music portal will host one of the biggest nostalgic throwback parties come Nov 10, and on a permanently docked Mississippi riverboat at Marina South Pier no less. In lieu of club tunes will be all the songs that accompanied our formative years, thanks to EMONIGHTSG and EATMEPOPTART.
One level of the boat will be dedicated to the glorious, awkward days of MySpace, eyeliners, skinny jeans and alt songs that the outcasts of yesteryears found great comfort in. Alongside emo classics, you’ll find retro arcade games and even a make-up counter to get your emotive mascara on.

Indie kids can get in on the fun at a separate floor — the longest running indie and alternative rock night in Singapore, EATMEPOPTART, will make its oceanside debut to deliver a huge dose of guitar- and synth-driven tunes.

Early bird tickets to this indie/emo extravaganza are unsurprisingly sold out, but standard tickets at $30 are still available online. Best to get yours quick — there’s a maximum capacity of only 400 people on the Bandwagon Riverboat.
