Late afternoon of Nov 8 in Sta. Ana, Manila, we waited for super typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) to make landfall, but it never came. One of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded in world history battered the southern part of the Philippines but thankfully spared the capital city.
