Under 16 meters of polluted water, they fumble blindly in absolute darkness, seeking their fortune with grasping hands. We couldn’t believe there were actually men making their living searching for sunken treasure on the bottom of the Chao Phraya River. And just as impossible is that they do it with only homemade, antiquated diving helmets tethered to an oxygen pump on the surface. So we set out to find them, film them and get their story.
