BKK UNSEEN #1 | The temple for the poor

You won’t find these Bangkok attractions in any guidebooks, y’all. Welcome to our new travel show BKK UNSEEN, where we’ll be exploring hidden and fascinating locations in Thailand’s mighty capital.

Our first episode takes us to Wat Suan Kaew, a temple on the outskirts of the city, where a Buddhist abbot has created a sanctuary of employment for less fortunate Thais… as well as an orphanage for unwanted dogs and cats… and a safe house from slaughter for pigs, cows, and chickens.
