Of all the dumb ways to chat up a lady, this is one of the worst.
A Yangon woman says she was harassed and insulted by a man claiming to have found her cat who went missing over the weekend.
Minty, a tri-colored two-year-old, disappeared after taking her usual stroll around the balcony of her flat on Baho Road in Kamaryut Township on Sunday.
Her owner, Khaing Khaing Mon, who found her as a kitten on Kandawgyi Road, posted desperate ads online and on trees in the neighborhood.
“I am so worried that she might be out there in this rain,” she told Coconuts Yangon in a message.
On Tuesday she got a call from a foreigner who wouldn’t give his name but said he was Australian, saying he had spotted Minty near a bus stop in Kamaryut Township.
“I asked which side of the road, he said he couldn’t say but then he said he was more interested in talking to me than helping me find my cat.”
After she hung up, he called back six times. Then sent these messages, plus others. Dude has no shame.
