Teenager stabbed to death after arguing with friend in North Okkalapa

An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in North Okkalapa Township on Saturday night after a row with a friend turned sour, police said.

Chan Myae Aung was arguing with Kyaw Naing Oo, also known as Sar Pharr, outside a temple near their homes, when he was allegedly knifed in the chest.

Kyaw Naing Oo was detained and charged Section 302 of the criminal code.

“The murder case happened from young people teasing each other,” Hla Oo, deputy officer at the local police station, told the Voice Weekly.

“We arrested the suspect that night.”
