Car goes up in flames on Inya Road

If you were driving down Inya Road on Sunday night,  you might have seen something rather strange.

A car burst into flames in front of the Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation building on Inya Road in the city’s Kamaryut Township at around 7pm, the Global New Light of Myanmar reported.

Investigators said fuel had leaked onto the exhaust pipe, causing the accident.

Police have filed charges against the owner, 63-year-old Khin Maung Thein.
