The body of a dentist was discovered in a dental clinic located on Inwa Street in Tamwe Township around 8 pm last night.
The victim was 25-year-old Ye Kyaw Thu, a resident of Kyauktada Township. He was also the owner of the clinic in which he was found, having established it a little over a year ago.
“He lived with his parents. No one had heard from him since January 2, so his girlfriend came to see if he was at the clinic. However, when she arrived, the clinic was locked. She and the ward administrator, along with some of the neighborhood’s residents, broke the lock. When they went inside, they found the dentist’s rotten corpse inside his bedroom,” a neighbor told Eleven.
They also discovered a mobile phone, earphones, and a pack of cigarettes beside the body.
Authorities are not yet treating the incident as a homicide while they conduct an investigation into what happened.
