Aung San Suu Kyi’s polling station attracts journalists and voters

As expected, members of the media seem to be outnumbering voters this morning in Yangon’s Bahan Township.

One of our reporters at the station, which is set up inside Basic Education Primary School Number 3, says dozens of voters are in line, while more than 100 journalists and photographers are waiting for Suu Kyi to arrive at 7:30am.

It’s not hard to see why. This is history in the making.

Things could get a little tricky, as police are saying that Suu Kyi will have to stand in line, which might be a little disruptive.

18-year-old Kaung Myat Thwin said he was very excited to vote.

“I want [Myanmar] to become a developed country,” he said.
