MAYANGONE
Most of Mayangone Township is beyond the daily commute of downtown and city-center dwellers in Yangon, but parts of the neighborhood are essential to the Yangon experience. These include Kabar Aye Pagoda, which was built by Myanmar's first prime minister U Nu in the 1950s and styled to resemble a cave-temple. The township also covers most of the picturesque Inya Lake, which is surrounded by such excellent restaurants as Sabai@DMZ, located inside Mya Kyun Thar Park. There are also several golf resorts here, which cater to the inhabitants of the fancy neighborhoods along Parami Road.
