Experience fabrics as world-saving art at Gallery 65

Textiles, fabric designs and organic materials will be explored in an exhibition opening Saturday.

For three days only, Gallery 65 will host Two, a special exhibition of work by artists Nandar Maung and Theinny Oo exploring the medium of textile design through the use of natural and organic dyes.

Nandar Maung began working as an artist in 2012 after a career in the fashion industry, the knowledge she’s integrated into her artwork. She is known for combining powerful abstract geometric expressions with her textile creations.

Theinny Oo will focus on ecological printing as an art form. In today’s climate of crisis, the work aims to promote environmental awareness and stability through art.

The event, which opens Saturday and ends Monday at Gallery 65, will give visitors a taste of traditional art as well as an introduction to these two emerging artists.
