Yangon’s new Wa restaurant ‘Root’ to hold grand opening party this weekend

The only ethnic Wa restaurant in downtown Yangon is holding a grand opening party this weekend (October 22).

Located on Bo Myat Htun road, middle block, ‘Root Kitchen & Bar’ has actually been open for more than a month now, gaining buzz through word of mouth.

At the grand opening there will be, among other promotions, a happy hour from 6-8pm and half-off deals on any Wa liquor-infused cocktails after 8pm.

We have no idea what a Wa liquor-infused cocktail is but it sounds kinda good.

Check out the event page for more information.

According to the page, the grand opening goes from 11am to “late,” which probably means somewhere in the vicinity of 11pm.
