Seems like a whole host of new places to gorge have opened in Yangon over the past couple of weeks.
Here’s a short and sweet run-down of the ones we’re gagging to try:
This new rooftop bar (seen above) held its soft opening this week. For now, it’s drinks only but worth checking out for the splendid Shwedagon Pagoda views alone.

New Italian joint serving homey pizza and pasta classics in the heart of downtown. Opened on Saturday.

American-style steakhouse, serving burgers and other meaty favourites. There’s a decent weekend happy hour deal on Myanmar beer – buy two, get one free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Kebabs, burgers, smoky meat balls, sausages and more are on the menu for Sunday brunch this week, too, in case you needed something to soak up all that booze.
