People’s Park Complex | Bye Bye Brutalism | Episode 3 | Coconuts TV

People’s Park Complex is the green and yellow icon of Singapore’s Chinatown. It was the first of Singapore’s brutalist icons to be built with construction finishing in 1970. The complex with shophouses and a residential tower is a huge part of the Chinese community but has been put up for en bloc sale, so its fate remains uncertain.

Watch episodes 1 and 2 of our docu-series BYE BYE BRUTALISM on Singapore’s threatened architectural icons, starring Hubab Hood.
