Come April, a new boutique resort will open its doors to sun and sand seekers on Thailand’s Bang Saray Beach. X2 Pattaya Oceanphere, operated by Southeast Asian hospitality brand X2 [Cross-To] Resorts, is billed as the beach’s first all-pool villa resort, with 59 one- and two-bedroom accommodation spaces built in a way that resembles rice terraces descending towards the seafront.
If you’re unfamiliar with Bang Saray, it’s a quaint, coastal village a stone’s throw away from its more popular neighbor Pattaya, with a history as a pirate port. Less than three hours away by car from Bangkok, the seaside area is now home to seafood restaurants and street markets, with water park attractions and golf courses nearby.
Given its quiet location, X2 Pattaya Oceanphere offers a secluded spot to unwind, with its premises positioned a short stroll from the beach. Varying in size, each villa is fully equipped with living spaces, bathrooms, kitchens, terraces, private pools, and floor-to-ceiling windows for ample natural light. Other facilities on the grounds include a fitness center and spa, as well as the Chili Blue Pool Bar for sunset cocktails and the Ocean Bistro that rustles up modern Thai and fusion cuisine.
Before its April launch, the resort is already open for reservations, with pre-opening rates starting from THB 7,415 (US$233).
