Move over Wild Wild Wet, Singapore’s latest water park can be found at an HDB block in Woodlands, and it is completely free to the public.

There are only two minor issues. First, it’s not much fun, and second, if you live in the affected building, you can’t get away from it by going home.

Oh, and it’s a burst pipe leaking a torrent of water through a ceiling light fixture in a residential lift lobby.

Okay, so we admit we oversold it.

The legend of the indoor waterfall began when Ruhaidi Supaat posted a video on Facebook of the plumbing emergency he filmed while visiting his mother.

“Weather is good, no rain and cooling,” said Ruhaidi of the lead up to coming across the flood in his post. “Suddenly hear waterfall.”

He said that he followed the sound until he found its source.

“Reached lift lobby then I actually see waterfall.”

The video, which has been shared hundreds of times on Facebook, shows water raining down from the ceiling, mostly through multiple circular light fixtures — all of which are turned on, fully lighting the area. The camera then pans down, bringing the flooded floor into view.

“We were informed of the leakage this morning and our plumber was deployed to the site immediately,” a representative from the Sembawang Town Council told The Straits Times yesterday. “The rectification work was completed at 11am this morning.”

While we hope all’s well that ends well, Ruhaidi used his 15 minutes of social media fame to bring attention to one more issue. The very last line in his post was a sarcastic hashtag: “#30%waterpricehike
