Michelle Chong‘s pretty great, especially when it comes to embodying her satirical characters with 200 percent effort. Over the years, the actress/director has created household names like mainland Chinese KTV hostess Lulu (who even got her own movie), Sarong Party Girl Barbarella (of “hello every-birdy” fame), and the feisty Ah Lian.

Now, presumably to hop on board the trend that is Becoming An Influencer/Blogger, Chong debuted a new food blogger character called Emily (a name she phonetically translated to mean “vain” in Mandarin) on a Pizza Hut ad yesterday. Funnily enough, despite being a Singaporean who visited Taiwan for only three days, Emily came back all act-cute and speaking like a Taiwanese.

Of course, this being Michelle Chong, she never failed to not disappoint viewers with her impeccable Taiwanese accent.

Watch her get into character below.

Despite the fact that Emily’s first public appearance was for an ad, netizens totally enjoyed the ride, praising Chong for her comedic timing and talent in acting.

But this individual said it best.
