Happy humpday to everyone, especially this law-abiding boar. Facebook user Eric Tan managed to catch the peculiarly adorable sight while driving at night along an unknown road.
“Oh my god, the big is crossing the road,” he laughed, zooming into the polite boar that had been using a zebra crossing safely. Its demeanor was unhurried, steadily sauntering across the road like it was heading back home from work.
In a law-abiding Singaporean society, even the animals observe traffic rules.
Wild boar sightings are not that uncommon here though. A native animal to Singapore, the omnivorous creatures reproduce fast and the lack of natural predators are causing a boom in its population. Typically, stories involving roads and boars are often tragic in nature, with the porkers causing accidents on expressways while crossing indiscriminately. Good to know that this little piggy knows to do otherwise.
