It was quite a stormy Friday last week — enough to cause flash floods and fallen trees — but thanks to one caring SMRT bus driver, dozens were spared the misery of getting drenched while on their commute.
A clip has been shared widely on social media recently — it depicts a driver of bus service 859 going beyond the call of duty by sheltering his passengers with an umbrella as they hop off and hop on his bus that rainy afternoon. Pretty awesome of him, really.
Of course, this isn’t the first time bus drivers have gone out of their way to help commuters. The man’s just the latest thoughtful driver caught on tape using umbrellas to prevent people from getting drenched by a downpour. Here’s one from Dec 2015, one from Dec 2016, and one from February this year. Nice bus captains aren’t anomalies, you guys.
