In yet another snake sighting, a python was caught at Bukit Batok West on Monday, in a video that promptly made its rounds online (because Singaporeans love a good snake showdown). According to Channel NewsAsia, the creature was first reported around 5am at a basketball court by Bukit Batok West Avenue 4, and it was eventually captured at 7am.

The main man in the viral video, believed to be from a pest control company, clutched his pole tightly throughout the process, using it to nudge the snake off its coiled position on a lamppost.

When the reticulated python fell to the ground, the man used a forked instrument to capture it, and after some fumbling, the snake was finally put into a gunny sack held by two hesitant-looking policemen.

But according to Kalai Vanan, deputy chief of the Animal Concerns Research & Education Society, the handling of the snake was thought to be inappropriate. He told Channel NewsAsia that the method used to restrain the creature was aggressive, and the snake could have been injured after its fall from the lamppost.

Watch how it all went down below.
