The road to cringe hell is paved with genuinely good intentions, and we are in no way putting down this group of alumni from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) who simply want to encourage their junior students during the exam crunch.
But by sons of Warvan, this video they produced is absolutely painful to sit through. The amount of cringe is so monumental that you just can’t look away; a hypnotic minute-long clip rife with bad font choices, badly synchronized cheering and — the worst crime of all — using the aural cancer known as “Baby Shark” as their centerpiece. We can’t even.
Again, nothing at all against their intentions to lift the spirits up of their juniors — it’s just that the choices they made for the video might be a cause for concern. Nonetheless, the unintentional hilarity of it all might be just what SUSS students need right now in the midst of stressful studying. See you at the other end.
