A man who seemed to be on his way to Friday prayers lost his cool and raged at a young motorcyclist after he was confronted about taking up four parking spots designated for motorcycles with his car.
A video, filmed by the younger man’s wife and shared online, captured them in the midst of verbal altercation that allegedly happened this afternoon. The context is that her husband had asked why the older man parked his car on the motorcycle spots. “[H]e claimed that he was late for prayers and then proceeded to shout as if he was not in the wrong,” wrote Amanda Lu on the Roads.sg Facebook page.
Of course, we can’t know for sure what happened prior to the video to warrant such an explosive response from the older gentleman.

Uncle: This is my problem, not yours. Is it your problem? IS IT YOUR PROBLEM?
Motorcyclist: Who are you, my dad? Why are you yelling at me?
Uncle: No, I ask you, is it your problem? I can be your father! You talking to what? Your friend? YOU TALKING TO YOUR FRIEND? Who the fish (are you) man?
Motorcyclist: (Chuckles)
Uncle: I park somewhere, it’s my problem. People saman me, not you. That’s not your problem.
Motorcyclist: Brother, you parked on the motorcycle lots…
Uncle: SO WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM?
Motorcyclist: Then why are you shouting at me—
Uncle: YES, BECAUSE THE WAY YOU ASK ME WAS VERY RUDE!
Motorcyclist: I was simply asking—
Uncle: NO, NO, NO, THAT’S NOT YOUR PROBLEM! DON’T ASK ME! I CANNOT ANSWER YOU! WHO ARE YOU!
The motorcyclist then asked his wife to take pictures of the car. He explained to the camera that he had simply asked the man why he chose to park there. The bickering goes on, with the older man continued to express his anger with the way the motorcyclist was talking to him. The argument then goes into religious territory — something about the older man being angry that the motorcyclist was drinking openly despite it being the fasting hours.
Eventually, the car was driven out, and the camera reveals that there were plenty of empty parking lots for cars nearby — so there really wasn’t any excuse for the man to take over four motorcycle parking lots.
The older man then challenged the motorcyclist to call the cops, which he did. The clip ends with the older man walking away from the scene.
