A Traffic Police officer was injured when his motorcycle was involved in an accident along Clementi Road around noon yesterday. The crash, which involved two other cars, occurred on the three-lane road in the direction of West Coast Highway.
It is believed that a car had attempted to swerve from the rightmost lane to the middle lane, and that forced another vehicle in the middle lane to hit the brakes abruptly, reported The Straits Times. The officer then slammed into the back of that car.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that it dispatched an ambulance to the scene, and the 28-year-old officer, who was on duty, was taken conscious to the National University Hospital with abrasions on his arms and legs.
Police investigations are ongoing.
