Our highly enjoyable bout of cold weather back in January may now be a distant memory, but yesterday night was a welcome reminder of those chilly days. Temperatures in many parts of Singapore dipped below 25°C from 7pm onwards yesterday, with residents in Clementi enjoying snuggling under the sheets in the 23.7°C weather.

According to the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) records last night, temperatures dipped low thanks to the widespread rain across the island.

Compare this to the current observation. Hot damn.

It may not seem like it right now (it’s an absolute scorcher outside), but MSS expects thundery showers across the country this afternoon, with temperatures possibly hitting as low as 23°C. In fact, thundery showers are forecasted over the next four days, meaning a potentially chill long weekend for all.

A proper end to a very balmy March, when the highest daily maximum temperature went as high as 35.7°C in the first half of the month.
