Since Texas Chicken launched its 13th anniversary bundle deals – which gets you a free cute chicken bag – it has pretty much been chaos.
Firstly, the campaign rolled out quite quietly and blew up after several social media posts and TikTok videos started circulating.
Suddenly, everyone wanted one. Which is fine – all the better for business, right? Yes, until it completely sells out.
TikTok user @usman26waw aka Usman DC shared a video of a Texas Chicken employee sobbing in front of a contactless ordering machine, presumable due to stress and frustration handling overbearing customers.
In the video, the staff member is seen being consoled by two kind souls who were queuing up.

Usman said in the video that some of the customers had been queuing up for up to “four to five hours”.
The deal proved to be so popular that Texas Chicken had to apologize for the limited stock.
“Thank you for the overwhelming response and support, we sincerely appreciate every one of you who have come down in the early morning with anticipation to get your hands on our exclusive Chicken Bag. For those who left disappointed, we are genuinely apologetic and do promise to do better. The Chicken Bags are currently out of stock and we will not be replenishing them at the moment,” the chain told Coconuts yesterday.
However, the bundle deals for the meals are still available – if Texas Chicken is your jam.
But if you really want the bag…
You actually don’t have to go to Texas Chicken for the bag. You don’t even have to beat the scalpers on Carousell for the goddamn poultry bag.
A quick search on the worldwide web can find you the coveted chicken bag for cheap – that’s less than S$10.
The bag retails from S$9.70 from online e-shopping giants Shopee. Heck, it even comes in a brownish, khaki color.
So there you go, you can eat your chicken and still carry around the chicken bag AND not break the bank.
