Remember the time when a taxi driver crashed into a void deck in Yishun? Yeah, it happened again, this time in Jurong West.
What reportedly transpired this morning — the cabbie mistakenly pumped his foot on the accelerator instead of the brakes while reversing at a carpark in Jurong West Street 81. This sent the Citycab taxi up a parapet and under a sheltered walkway linking block 816 and 817, where it remained wedged.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was informed of the accident around 8.10am, and dispatched an ambulance to the scene. But its assistance wasn’t required as there were no injuries reported. It’s fortunate that no one was hurt during the incident, though it did result in this wry observation shared on Facebook:
Police investigations are currently underway.
