A photo of Stefanie Sun queueing at a McDonald’s outlet has gone viral, for no reason other than the local singer’s get-up: a t-shirt and denim shorts combo paired with eye glasses and unkempt hair.
Must’ve been a slow news day for social media because countless netizens jumped on the visual, most making jokes about how ‘auntie’ she looked.
Luckily, the pretty 36-year-old doesn’t seem to be too bothered by the ‘publicity’. On Aug. 7, she tweeted a new version of the photo that had a princess tiara on her head. The caption “so beautiful OK” was also edited into it.
The new photo drew awe from her fans and acquaintances, including singer Derrick Ho who tweeted in response, “Stefanie Sun is steady bombibi. We are Chilli like that in Singapore. You are a true local.”
This is not the first time that Sun has been caught looking ‘unglam’. The mother of one was once caught with plastic bags dangling on her arm while shopping for hairspray. She was also ‘papped’ walking around in loose clothing while on family vacation last year.
