The latest promotional materials for Spider-Man: Far from Home have caught leading man Samuel L. Jackson’s eye, and not in a good way. Before he reprises his role as former S.H.I.E.L.D. boss and Flerken friend Nick Fury in the upcoming July movie, the actor surfaced a poster fail — in what looks like one of Singapore’s train stations — to the world’s attention.

Perhaps Sony can’t quite remember which eye Nick Fury actually lost, because according to this side-by-side comparison of two Spider-Man posters on Jackson’s Instagram post, the Marvel man’s iconic eyepatch appeared on different eyes.

In typical Jackson style, his caption read just like how you’d imagine his response, ending off with the hashtag #lefteyemuthafukkah.

Clearly, as pointed out by the eagle-eyed actor, Fury’s eyepatch goes on the left.

The faux pas was first posted to Reddit by user TheBois24 and has since garnered over 43,000 upvotes and more than 700 comments. According to the thread, these posters were reportedly seen at the North-South Line’s Newton MRT station.

So which eye did he injure? from r/CrappyDesign

Naturally, fans had an absolute field day commenting on the mix-up.

Anyone who’s followed the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would know that the American franchise is known to employ multiverses in which characters can look different and have varying superpowers. So… there’s a chance that Fury traveled to an alternate dimension in the new film, which explains why his patch is on a different eye. Or it could be a simple Photoshop glitch.

Whatever it is, we’re just grateful it gave us the gift of Jackson’s #headsgonroll.
