Where Pet Lovers Centre may be a local pet store chain for the masses, Pets Actually is for a more discerning clientele — that is to say, a pet store for those willing to splurge on their animal companions.
Offering chic versions of feeding bowls, gourmet treats, and stylish collars for pets, it’s no surprise that their products aren’t exactly in the lower end of the price tier. One individual, however, appeared to be so incensed by Pets Actually’s price points that she shot some highly rude messages to the company’s Facebook page. The contention? A feeding bowl that costs $54.50. Based on that specific price, the complainant could be pissed off about this cute Outerspace Bowl (which goes for NT$990 or S$44 before shipping costs if you get it straight from the original suppliers).
The moment of unprovoked hostility was shared on Pets Actually’s Instagram Stories yesterday. Take a look.
On one hand, the products sold by Pets Actually are leaning on being overpriced (doggo bowties that cost as much as $41? Pshh). On the other, Pets Actually aren’t forcing anyone at gunpoint to purchase their products, and folks are more than welcome to find and buy cheaper items. And certainly one doesn’t have to be an absolute ass by harassing the company with rude messages and abusive language.
