A woman’s “first Louis Vuitton experience” in Singapore met with an empty box and an unfortunate communication cockup.

TikTok user Annapooty went on a storytime spiel in a series of videos about her recent mishap with the luxury brand after splurging on two bags from the store in Marina Bay Sands.

“Paid S$2,400 and came home with an empty box,” the caption read. “They even tried to gaslight me when I called.”

@annapooty Now that I managed to get my bag back, my heart no longer feels heavy (don’t worry, my box is though) 😜 #sgfyp #singapore #louisvuitton #missingbag #fyp #marinabaysands #luxurybag #unboxinggonewrong #sgtiktok #mbs ♬ Made You Look – Meghan Trainor

She claimed that on Friday she bought an Alma BB and a Bagatelle bag, worth more than S$5,000 in total, but came home to find that the box for the Alma BB bag was empty.

When reached out, Louis Vuitton Singapore declined to comment.

After repeatedly calling for updates, Annapooty said in the comments of a video that the brand found CCTV footage of her leaving the store with two bags and that their stocks tally showed the bags had both been sold.

She said the staff “insinuated” that there could have been a theft if she left her bags unattended after the purchase.

“When questioned for the outcome of the situation, they were not keen on ruling out the possibility that crime may have taken place out of their store. It insinuated that I may have left my bag unattended when I was shopping elsewhere for the rest of the day,” she wrote.

The next day, she filed a police report over the missing bag. Then on Sunday, she was contacted by the brand and told that her bag had been in the store all along. According to Annapooty, two store assistants mixed up her bags with those of another customer who wanted the empty box as decor. They said the inventory check done earlier was also wrong as her bag was in the box that they didn’t account for.

After all that, the brand gave her a bottle of champagne to compensate her for the mixup.

“Now that I managed to get my bag back, my heart no longer feels heavy (don’t worry, my box is though) 😜,” she wrote.

@annapooty way too much to fit into the video, storytime in the comments 🤧 #fyp #fypsg #louisvuitton #marinabaysands #missingbag #singapore ♬ Lottery – K CAMP
