Photographer captures aerial shot of Bukit Panjang to show how meticulously planned the estate is

Local photographer Darren Soh is no stranger to our headlines. First jumping to viral fame back in May for his gorgeous shot of lightning bolts crackling over Sembawang, he captured another moving image of an outdoor mass prayer session held by Muslim migrant workers during the Ramadan month.

Now at the tail end of 2016, the veteran lensman took to the skies to illustrate just how meticulously organised the Bukit Panjang district is. Having always dreamed of creating the airborne image of the neighbourhood to snap a symmetrical shot of its systematically-aligned HDB blocks, he fulfilled it recently — by way of drone, of course.

Snapping pics from high vantage points have been Soh’s medium of late — check out other aerial shots he took of Serangoon Gardens, Bishan, and even Kuala Lumpur.
