A viral video has landed a young motorcyclist in trouble with the law after police cuffed him for, er, doing donuts on his bike as part of his friend’s wedding celebrations.

For those not in the know, motorbike stunts are a customary ceremony for Malay newlyweds who have friends in the avid biking community. Although frankly, it’s a rather unnecessary ritual, considering the amount of pollution and deafening noise these bikers emit when doing so — and it’s especially disruptive when done in HDB residential estates.

Just look at the clip below (that perfectly circular skid mark is impressive though):

The clip went viral on social media, but for all the wrong reasons.

For that 35 seconds of fun, the man behind the stunt could surprisingly spend half a year in the clink.

The authorities have since confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist — said to be a 26-year-old man — and he’s currently “assisting” the Traffic Police in their investigations. Additionally, the police noted that he could face up to six months in prison and/or a fine of up to S$2,500, should he be convicted of the offence of Rash Act.
