Thanks to the highly reckless actions of one inconsiderate driver, a motorcyclist had to be hospitalized last Friday after crashing right into a car that made a sudden (and illegal) U-turn along River Valley Road.

In a video captured via dash cam and uploaded onto the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group, it’s clear that the driver of the black Toyota Wish MPV was in the wrong. While driving on the left-most lane, the driver made a sharp turn to the right to cross over to the other side of the road. Unfortunately, the driver did not notice a motorcyclist coming up right beside him, and the latter smacked into the right side of the car. The impact was hard enough for the motorcyclist’s helmet to smash the right passenger window of the MPV.

Well, at least the driver actually got out and tried to render help to the fallen man. But the collision was serious, and the motorcyclist was only able to roll around in a daze. He was conveyed, conscious, to Singapore General Hospital by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel, who were alerted to the accident around 6:05pm, STOMP reported. Police investigations are still ongoing.
