The lack of actual cheese on McDonald’s new entreé Cheesy Loaded Fries continues to plague the nation in the latest first world crisis to hit Singapore.
It’s been nearly a week since the fast food brand attempted to conjure a new food craze in the form of french fries topped with a mountain of nacho cheese, sour cream sauce, and chicken bacon bits, which caused quite a bit of hype in the days leading up to the launch. Alas, it failed to reach the viral zenith of Nasi Lemak Burgers when what was advertised was (unsurprisingly) a gross misrepresentation of the actual item sold.
Folks across the country raged in unison about the pathetic platters of limp potato strips topped with selfish spittles of toppings. This was not what our founding fathers died for.

McDonald’s, however, stayed silent during the days of continued grievances by customers, who somehow expected that a fast-food giant would actually live up to anyone’s expectations. It was only yesterday afternoon that it issued a statement in response to the complaints. No apology though — just an attempt to lighten things up with some cheese-related puns.
Yeah, not exactly a great way to make it up to customers. Thanks for the cheese puns and all — now put more damn cheese on your fries.
