Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly entering a toilet at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) campus and filming a female student.

Apparently, the man has done the depraved deed before, too.

The SIM student herself caught him in the act and confronted the man outside the female toilet, according to a Facebook post she made yesterday. She had gone to the loo on the fourth floor of the campus’ Block B when she noticed a phone pointed at her from the top edge of the cubicle.

The victim left the cubicle and called her friend to wait with her outside the toilet. It took a while for the man to come out, but when he was eventually confronted, he apparently claimed that he entered the female toilet accidentally.

“He was denying it till we decided to call the police,” she wrote, adding that the man claimed to have classes on the second floor. “So how did he accidentally go into the female toilet at level 4 while having a stomach ache with his class being at level 2?”

The cops came to make the arrest after being alerted to the case at 10:58am. “Police said that this was NOT HIS FIRST OFFENCE,” she remarked, warning her fellow female students to stay cautious when entering toilets alone at the SIM campus — or anywhere else, really.

The Facebook post has since been taken down on advice by the police, but the victim thanked those who supported her actions and helping her spread the word. “Glad to see many people warning their friends about this situation,” she wrote in a follow-up post.
