Last Sunday, a man in his 50s was discovered to have died in his sleep at a coffee shop in Ang Mo Kio. In an unrelated but equally unexpected and tragic incident, a 61-year-old man was found dead on Tuesday morning at a playground near a coffee shop at Block 11, Telok Blangah Crescent.

Wu Xiongguang was a mute, and he was lying motionless in a sheltered slide when his younger brother found him on the way to breakfast. Attempts to wake him were unsuccessful, and Wu was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Described as a friendly and kind person who frequented the coffee shop for nightly drinks, Wu was often seen falling asleep there, and the owner never chased him off as he was a regular.

Investigations are ongoing in this case of unnatural death.
