LTA impounds e-scooter belonging to a man caught riding it along Mandai Road

E-scooter owners, please refrain from riding on the roads, unless you want the Land Transport Authority to impound your ride. Just like this guy who was caught taking his e-scooter out for a spin along Mandai Road.

“We would like to remind all e-scooter riders that it is an offence to use their PMDs (personal mobility devices) on the road and we will take enforcement action against any rider found doing so,” LTA said in a Facebook post yesterday.

The latest in a series of crackdowns on errant riders is part of LTA’s enforcement operations after complaints arose against e-scooters travelling on roads. Since May, the LTA has done over 560 enforcement operations and seized about 20 e-scooters.
