Just weeks after the newly revamped Admiralty Park opened its crazy-looking slides to the public, someone already got hurt.

A woman has claimed that she sustained injuries after being thrown off one of the park’s slides, which reportedly measured 23m in length and 9m in height. Speaking to Shin Min Daily News, the 24-year-old lady said that she hurt her head, shoulders, arms, thighs and spine during a visit to the park last Sunday evening.

According to her, the steepness of the slide caused her to descend way too fast, and she couldn’t stop in time before getting thrown off the slide. Her sister was also injured from playing on the same slide, she added.

“I hope that my experience will serve to remind other visitors to be careful even as they are enjoying the facilities,” she stated to Shin Min, expressing the hope that more safety features can be installed to prevent others from suffering the same plight. But then again, it is a playground, so people are bound to get some bruises here and there.

Spread across 27-ha, Admiralty Park opened late last month after a two-year facelift, featuring 26 slides and three main playing areas for kids of all ages and children with special needs, according to the National Parks Board (NParks).
