Singapore’s gotten a bunch of attention from Hollywood of late, what with Crazy Rich Asians and now Westworld filming on our shores. But perhaps we look cooler in digitally manipulated photos than in real life, as evidenced by this local concept artist who took our ordinary MRT trains and transported them beyond the galaxy.

Sean Lee, self-described as a “Photoshop ninja with concept art dreams,” previously made headlines with his Singaporean Winter series, where he transformed iconic landmarks on the tropical island into frosty snowscapes. The entire city covered in a blanket of white? That’s a scene you don’t see every day. Or ever, really.

It appears the creative dude regularly takes inspiration from Singapore, as he also reimagined the city-state as a livable underwater city in 2030 a while back. Very cool stuff indeed, which is why he’s going viral once again for his new series: MRT Train Guide to the Galaxy.

Using his trademark technique of photobashing, which involves merging or overlapping images or 3D assets together to blend into a finished piece, he took train transport to the next level by depicting the North-South Line’s Novena station as Mars, the Downtown line floating above Neptune, the East-West Line drifting in zero gravity space, the Bukit Panjang LRT train turning into a Lunar Rocket Transit, and more.

Check out more of his artworks below, complete with before-and-after shots.

We only wish we could be this futuristic of a city.
