The color red symbolizes good fortune and joy in Chinese culture, and that’s why the hue is everywhere in town for the Lunar New Year.

Pan Pacific Singapore, however, had to deal with an unwelcome shade of red when it came crashing outside its premises. A 73-year-old driver of a hot-red Ferrari sports car lost control of his vehicle and wrecked it outside the luxury hotel in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Pictures shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group showed the luxury vehicle’s right bumper having shattered from the crash, with pieces of shrubbery strewn around the scene and on top of the Ferrari’s windscreen.
