After reaching the convenience store seven minutes after curfew to grab booze for himself, a man unleashed his rage upon a poor 7-Eleven employee for simply doing his job.

Police are currently on the hunt for the suspect who bloodied up the clerk, who was alone in the store at Changi Village last Thursday when the attack happened. A witness informed STOMP that the vicious attack went on for about half a minute, leaving the 43-year-old employee with bloody cuts on his head.

It’s unclear if the attack involved a weapon of some sort, considering that his blood was reportedly splattered on the walls as well.

Retail stores aren’t allowed to sell takeaway alcohol from 10:30pm to 7am, and the violent suspect was said to have missed the cut-off time to purchase his beer around 10:37pm.

Following the attack, the victim alerted the police about the incident and called for an ambulance, which conveyed him to Changi Hospital. Speaking to The Straits Times, 7-Eleven said it’ll be providing the man and his family with all the assistance they need while cooperating fully with the police in the investigation.

Clerks at 24-hour convenience stores just have it bad when it comes to insanely unreasonable customers. Back in June 2016, a customer was caught going ballistic after being told there weren’t any spoons left for his purchase of Meiji yogurt at a Cheers outlet in — you guessed it — Yishun.
