Cool Beans: BCF wants social media giants to use their logos for Breast Cancer Awareness month

With October looming ahead, Singapore’s Breast Cancer Foundation has taken upon themselves to tweak the logos of popular media platforms as a reminder for women to have their ‘girls’ checked regularly.

The Foundation has started an online campaign requesting Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to use their modified logos for the entire 31 days of October – the official Breast Cancer Awareness month.

They’ve also injected quirky slogans into their social media posts, such as these:

This year’s campaign theme “Together we are Stronger” emphasises on the importance of providing support – especially from loved ones – to victims of breast cancer.

The Singapore Cancer Society will be giving out $25 discounts to women for mammograms at various screen centres next month. The subsidy coupon can be bought at Guardian Health and Beauty stores, Metro department stores and the Singapore Cancer Society.
